Learning music during the summer months.
Students in the Levittown Public School District are taking advantage of the opportunity to begin or continue studying a musical instrument in the Summer Music Program, which is held at Jonas E. Salk Middle School.
Students entering grades three through 12 get a head start on practicing music if they are a beginner, and those who already play enrich their skills. Different groups include students who participate in lessons and those who are members of the program’s concert ensemble. The young musicians will have the opportunity to showcase what they learned during the summer at the culminating summer concert on Aug. 11.
